Funny, censored ad

Bill Ayers

So you say Obama knowing Bill Ayers ins't a problem. Are Democrats so stupid that they really think Obama's lame response to being a Friend of Bill, "I was only 8," matters? He was old enough to know better, when Ayers still wishes he killed more Americans. Why have a political ally like that?

So if you don't think it matters, would you want him nominating him Director of Homeland Security? No, why not? Oh, because you realize this guy is a nut job? But it's still okay to think his and Obama's relationship was nothing?

I really worry about the type of people Obama will appoint to his cabinet.

Very True

http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg320/ariz1323/ObamaSayzNothin.jpg

For the Record

OK . . . I've mentioned that I'm an unwilling supporter of John McCain, but now, I'm even less so.  I was hopeful of his candidacy, hopeful of Sarah Palin, but overall, disappointed.  I don't think McCain even understands his own domestic policy.

Can someone please prove me wrong?  The ONLY, and I mean ONLY positive I see with an Obama Presidency is that it will go a long way in healing race relations in the US.  Should that be enough, though I think nearly everyone of his policies will harm the US?

Obama and ACORN

More Obama shananigans:

This story is also on CNN, meanwhile, they never mention on CNN that Obama once represented them as a lawyer.  Part of Obama's work in the Fannie Mae mess.

They did say that Obama gave them 800,000 dollars to help with registration drive during the primaries.

Show Me The Money

Busy, Busy

Well, life happens. It's been too long since I've posted and being that I barely got hits, the motivation wasn't there to write much. But I checked my stats and I guess b/c the election is soon, I've received nearly 2000 hits since last Friday. I'm guessing because of the McCain-Obama debate. So most folks probably saw my site, said nope, and didn't read any of this good stuff.

So anyway, on with the show . . . .

I've mentioned that I'm voting for McCain. It's not that I'm in love with the guy like Chris Matthews is with Obama. It's just that I often think there are two decisions in life: 1) bad; 2) worse. And when faced with those 2 decisions, you must pick bad. So, I'm voting for McCain.

I also don't think he's that bad, but he wasn't my first pick.

I also don't think horribly of Obama, it's just my most important issues don't mesh with him at all. Those being foreign policy, the role of the government in everyday life, and the Supreme Court.

I know he's probably going to win, and that's fine I guess, what bothers me however is that I'm guessing 85% of the people voting for him are about as clueless about him as they are of the President of Uzbekistan.

For example, do most people know:

  • that in the State Senate, most of his votes were, "present," meaning, he couldn't make a yes or no decision.
  • that he's the most pro-abortion candidate we've ever had?
  • the he ranks in the top 3 along with Chris Dodd and Hillary Clinton in financial support from Fannie Mae?
  • That he helped secure, sometimes through litigation, the very risky loans that are now part of the bailout?
  • That he's friends with an American born terrorist?
  • That his training as a community organizer came from one of the most radical thinking, socialist thinkers who in his book thought of Satan as the first radical?
  • That he basically cruised to power in his election to the State legislature and the US Senate?
  • That he had college students from other states vote in the Iowa Caucus, illegally?
  • That he joined the Trinity Church, in his own words, because of Wrights preaching of White abuse in history, and not because of the word of God?
  • He said he was too inexperienced to run for President, but then 100 days later threw his hat in the ring.
There's so much more. He's been given such a pass, it's saddens me that he's going to become president with so many people knowing so little about him. He's a candidate who is where he is because he's black, yet, if you say that, you get blasted by everyone in the press, even if your name is Geraldine Ferraro.

So please, if you support Obama. Please tell me one reason why you are voting for him other than because you hate Bush and that you want "change."

Oh, and the President of Uzbekistan is Islom Karimov. And most of these facts can be found in The Case Against Barack Obama by David Freddoso.

I don't want Bribama Money

OK...so with Obama's numbers sinking (I'm laughing so hard right now), I'm not surprised that Obama wants to give me $1000 for my vote. I'm glad to see that Obama thinks it's a crime to earn a profit in this country. The dog food industry has big profits too, why not get them?

I don't want the money. Taking the profits of a company to give to "the people" sure smacks of Marxism in my book.

And before you claim that I loved Bush's stimulus check and hate Obama's: I didn't support the stimulus idea. Yes, I got a check, but not because I wanted it. It's not good policy to put off debt like that.

Barack-Onomics

Or do you prefer Obama-Nomics?

Either way, they both sound silly which is a pretty good description of Obama's economic plan.

Read it yourself here, Barack Obama: A Security and Success Agenda for American Families.

First, it has a few typos which a Presidential candidate shouldn't have:

He has an aggressive plan to combat poverty, reward work and ensure that ensure that low-income families has the tools they need to succeed.
Yes, I am that picky.

So, here is a quick hit as to what I find wrong with his economic plan:
  1. He wants to raise the minimum wage to $9.50 an hour. Read this and this if you're unsure about the devastating effects of a minimum wage. I find it interesting that as soon as the first phase of the minimum wage was brought into law, we saw a rise in unemployment already. Is it the only cause? Probably not, but the very people Obama wants to help with this increase will actually harm them. Does he know this? Probably so, but votes matter, not real help.
  2. He also wants to eliminate 10 million Americans from the Income Tax. This would be the lowest income earners, which is already millions of Americans. So now, Obama wants to shift more of the tax burden to a small group of people, meanwhile, increasing the cost of government (have you seen his list of spending?). That makes no sense. He and others rightly criticize Bush for allowing the deficit spending we are now seeing, so why does he want to make it worse? Honestly, I would like to see EVERY American pay taxes, even the poor ones since they are the beneficiaries of most of the government programs they are not paying for.
  3. Another stimulus check? I didn't think the first one was very helpful or the right approach. Maybe a flat tax cut for all those who pay taxes would be better. But Obama just wants to target his cuts to the poor so that the poor will stay poor, but keep voting Democratic. It's ingenious.
  4. Cheaper college. Again, college is too expensive so lets throw more government at the problem to make it cheaper. He wants the first $4000 of college to be free. So, guess how much colleges will raise their tuition? It doesn't take much to figure that out. Read this, this, and this, it's a 3-part series.
  5. Universal Health Care?? His words.
To be fair, I do like his plan for small businesses, it's a Republican plan though:

Provide Tax Relief for Small Businesses and Start Ups: Small businesses are the engine of job growth in our economy and for millions of Americans are a tool to help innovate, build wealth and achieve the American dream. Barack Obama understands that many small business owners are struggling to succeed as health care and energy costs continue to skyrocket. He believes that we need to make it easier for small businesses to succeed. That is why he has called for eliminating all capital gains taxes on start-up and small businesses. This reform will provide meaningful tax relief to small businesses, while encouraging innovation and job creation. Obama will also work to expand federal lending to small businesses and will create a new national network of public-private business incubators to facilitate the work of entrepreneurs in creating start-up companies.
Overall though, there isn't much in his economic plan that I think helps Americans. Some of his "reforms" would probably help me, but my question is, "will this help the nation?" For me, the answer is no.

Will the Media Elect Obama?

So Obama gets published in the NYT, anchors following him around the world, and another Newsweek cover. McCain doesn't get published in the NYT, has no one following him anywhere, and has only been on 5 Time/Newsweek covers to Obama's 12.

Oh yeah, the media isn't biased???

Obama: A Saint to Himself

Good article from Charles Krauthammer pointing out Obama's inflated opinion of himself. Quite the egomaniac.

Best line:

His most memorable work is a biography of his favorite subject: himself.

It is a subject upon which he can dilate effortlessly. In his victory speech upon winning the nomination, Obama declared it a great turning point in history -- "generations from now we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment" -- when, among other wonders, "the rise of the oceans began to slow." As economist Irwin Stelzer noted in his London Daily Telegraph column, "Moses made the waters recede, but he had help." Obama apparently works alone.

Reminds of when Woodrow Wilson came to Europe with his 14 points and Clemenceau remarked, "God only needed 10." Seems to me, Wilson failed on his trip, too.

Poll Data

According to this article, Obama still leads McCain in the polls but the undecided vote is getting bigger (probably worse for Obama) and more people trust McCain if there was a crisis.

More people trust Obama on the economy and our image worldwide.

So, why on the economy? Granted, though we're not in a recession, things aren't the best. The analogy I use is that of football. We're used to scoring touchdowns quarter after quarter. Lately, we've been kicking field goals. Obama would have you believe that we're not even scoring. That's because a bad economy helps Obama.

If you're going to blame Bush for the economy, why not the Democrats? After all, things were fine until they took over Congress and they now have 28 of the 50 governorships. Couldn't you easily blame the Democrats for the economic slowdown? Who runs the major cities of New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and such? Oh yeah, the Democrats. Hmmm.

Secondly, world opinion? Didn't France and Germany just elect pro-US Presidents? During the time of supposed American hatred? Isn't England's Conservative party on the brink of taking over?

So who hates us?

Oh yeah, terrorists and the political left of the world.

Who will loves us with Obama in power? The left and the terrorists. Yes, I said it. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezzbolah, Iran, and North Korea would prefer the inexperienced Obama over McCain.

That's why a majority of people trust McCain in these matters.

I hope folks wake up and realize that the two areas in which Obama leads are false illusions.

Where is Senator McCain?

OK . . . I know that the presumptive Republican nominee for the Presidency John McCain is in St. Louis today for some money making, but where has Senator McCain been?

Go to the Washington Post database on votes, and you'll see that McCain hasn't voted on an issue in the Senate since April 8, then back to March 14 since he consistently cast votes. That's three votes in 123 days. Mind you, two of his three were on March 14, where he still didn't vote on 4 issues on that same day. Did he take a nap?

Meanwhile, Barack Obama has missed a few also, only voting 24 times out of 92 votes in that same time period. And yes, six of them on March 14.

Hillary voted 30 times while a non-candidate, Jim Webb voted 87 times of 92 votes (only 4 times against his party).

So obviously, being a candidate effects the voting record. Do you think that's because most voets in the Senate are useless and running for President is more important? Or, because they don't want to be on record.

Either way, I'm pretty disappointed with McCain's dismal record.
